Outing to Bol Park

Mummy and Daddy are trying to bring me to different dog-friendly parks around the Bay Area. One of them is called Bol Park. Funny name right? Look at where one of the entrances to the park is! There's someone's home on the right (the garage) and there's also a fence to someone's home on the left! So mysterious looking!

Excuse me while I poop (as usual). =P

First thing Daddy brought to our attention were the DONKEYS! Can you see them?

Seriously! There's 2 donkeys there...in the background just behind my left ear. I've never seen donkeys before.

We went down a loooooong path. Excuse Mummy, she was in a funny mood. She gave me rabbit ears.

Anyway, further down I found something else new to me! Its a giant baseball park. I wanted to go and run around in it but I couldn't. Cos (1) it belongs to Gunn High School and (2) there was a "No Pets" sign there. Ah well...

We walked through Gunn High School...walked past the gym and look, there's tennis courts.

Back onto the trail of Bol Park, we met 2 doggies. One tiny little fiesty lion-mane looking pomernarian and a big black lab. Mummy couldn't help herself. She just HAD to say hi!

Here I am giving my greetings to the pommie. He was a nervous fella around me but he loved mummy and daddy.

Look at his hair cut! Oh, and he has a short mohawk on his back too! (Hey Hammer! A mohawk fan too!)

This dude was trying to steal MY treats from mummy's bag. So shameless! tsktsk.
Fortunately he found a nice stick to chew on.

Well, it was a nice day out for early spring. Mummy gave a "I'm tired" face and so did I.

Until the next trip and thanks to Daddy for his nice photos!

The HOOF Treat

Mummy bought me a different kind of chew toy today. It smelled very strong and I wanted to gnaw on it the moment I saw it!

Here's what it looks like. Its the Hoof of a cow? Wow...

Ok, quick take the pic. Can I have it?

Lie down? Ok, now can i have it?

Look straight? NOW CAN I HAVE IT????
(Mummy: I was trying to capture the droooooool, but decided I was being too cruel so I let him have it.)

Yay! Quick start chewing!!!!

Oh boy, oh boy, daddy has it! what? He is gnawing on it???? NO!!!!!!! Please can i have it Daddy? PLEASE????
(Mummy: No, Daddy wasn't really chewing. He was pretending. Benny just saw there patiently drooling and waiting. He knew that it was his. Such a good boy eh?)

Alrighty! back to gnawing...left side...

Switch over. right side....

Whew, tired. I think left side better.

Arrgh, maybe right side will break the hoof.

30mins in...I'm tired, super salivated and the place smells of cow. =P Think I'll get another??? =P

Mummy: The treat lasted FOREVER. Unfortunately, the smell also lingered and was very strong. So while its worth its price in terms of duration, unless you want your home and dog's breath to smell like a barn of cows...i'd suggest to not give this treat too often and to do it outside. =P

out of 5 (mainly cos of the smell =P )

A Sable Corgi and Spring Time!

A few weeks ago Mummy and Daddy brought me out to the dog park. It was a lucky break for me cos it was raining and raining and it wouldn't stop raining! Thank God it stopped raining on a weekend so we went to the park! Yippie!

First thing we saw was THIS DUDE. He reminds Mummy & Daddy of Ode who is a Singapore Corgi that has almost the exact same colour and look! For this entry, I'll call him Edo (Ode in reverse). =)

Edo was just as interested in me as I was in him! Mummy tried to say Hi too.

Edo started following me around. Probably was wondering about my tail. =P

Garrrghhh! Some good ol' corgi fighting fun!

I'm taller than Edo so I usually had the upper paw.

Aim for the ear flap! (old habits die hard...hee....)

These 2 bigger dogs came to check on what the fuss was. I wanted to say hi to them, but...

...Edo snuck in a secret attack on me...AH! See my eyes are closed?!?!?!?!

Grr....bark bark, "bite bite"! I seriously think the 2 bigger dogs thought this was some sort of strange spectator sport.

Whew! Getting tired. Gotta get some time to myself...and I need a drink.

The watering hole is crowded. As usual.

Last bit of fun running and chasing other dogs around...

Ok. Mummy! Daddy! Where are you? I'm leaving...

Well, we finally went home. Back at the apartment complex, Daddy took this nice nice picture of the flowering tree! Its wasn't even spring when this picture was taken but the tree sure decided to look pretty nice and early.

That's me in the front and the tree in the back. (Update: Its in full bloom now and starting to shed the flowers and baby leaves are sprouting.)

Well friends, until next time! Sooner than you think (i hope!).
