99 Ranch in Cupertino

Wondering around is fun! There's plenty of fooooooody smells and bushes and pillars to sniff.

There's even a nice fountain. I like the fountain but daddy doesn't like the restaurant behind it. :P



Don't forget the comfy benches and the cool shop that sells all the cute stuff that I won't get cos I'd just tear them up. Heh.





Oh and I had to take a pic at mummy's favorite bubble tea store! I got to say it smells pawsome!



Ok. That is it. I have decided to make 99 Ranch MY TERRITORY!... =D

"Oops...." I did IT again...

A few days ago my humans went out for dinner. When they came home, they saw something on the floor and smelt something in the air. Mommy says she wants to tell the story... uh-oh.

**Benhur's Mom here. So yes, we left for about 2 hours but this was after he had a nice day out too so he wasn't bored. Benny just decided to do what he seems to simply have to do ever so often - eat something he shouldn't. Let's see now. Since he was a puppy (in no particular order) he has eaten:

• About 6 bananas (skin and stem)
• About 50-60 bags of Lipton tea
• Macadamia nuts (estimated 30)
• House plant
• A lot of Oreos
• Entire packet of MnMs
• More Oreos, this time peppermint ones
• Tube of Bodyshop hand cream
• Fire Starter
• Recycled Fire Wood
• Leftover dinner from trash
• etc. 

**I have potentially blocked out some of the memories. Just because. So let's add this to the list - Ranch Dressing. There were 3 pre packed cups of ranch dressing that Clement was going to bring to his office but Benny decided to pull them down from the dining table and have a go at it.

**These are 2 of the 3 cups he took. 2 of the cups are perfectly clean. The third one was half eaten which meant...he was nauseous from eating it.

**The guilty boy knew he was in trouble. Big trouble. He sat on the steps knowing he can't go up cos we told him not to, and he can't come down cos he is in big doo doo.

**Guilty boy getting scolded while having to FACE THE EVIDENCE. His tummy was bloated and his breath smelt of ranch. It was gross...i knew we were in for the gas coming out the other end...and yes, it smelt like ranch too. :S

**I found his "bed" clean of the ranch but had some blood. He likely cut his lip/gum/tongue on the foil or plastic. Nothing in his mouth was bleeding by the time we got home and he ate fine otherwise. So the silly guilty boy had a misadventure with the ranch...

**And not that it stopped him from begging for watermelon soon after we released him from his scolding and forgave him. Oh benny...

I, Benny, am back! Yes, my humans scolded me...i couldn't help it. Honestly, my tummy and tongue and saliva glands overrule my brain's better judgement. =P Heh. The cut wasn't fun though and i did feel kinda pukey after. Ranch isn't high on my list of fav foods now.

Happy Mid Autumn Festival!

Woohoo! It is the mid-autumn festival again! I like it...cos...mommy and daddy always buy something nice smelling home. I get to pose with these mid-autumn goodies...

Oh boy....the lid is opened....MUST - HAVE - SELF - CONTROL...

Dog Days of Summer (San Fran Giants)

One night Mommy showed me tickets...i never had a ticket for ME before...*inspect*

Take a look...oooo...i believe the one with the yellow sticker is for ME!

Woohoo! That means....we are going somewhere!

So i'm told that orange is the colour of the day...I'm ready folks! Let's get going!



I found out that I'm in San Fran once again but this time at a park for baseball! The AT&T park!

Gotta make it mine! *poop*

As we were walking to the entrance we saw really expensive lookin' sailboats...ooo...



Then the humans go to the loo...guess its sorta like making the place theirs too right?
And after that they go buy baseball park foooooood....*yum*....



And we finally make it to our seats! Yes...I GET A SEAT TOO!
(Mommy's trying her best to carefully balance the food. She dropped daddy's hotdog but the nice guest services lady there got him a new clean one cos it was an accident. How pawsome is that?!?!)

Do i get treats? (yes...i did!)

Bailey was there too! His mom is a BIG Giants fan!

Nom nom...every one is having nice smelling hot dogs and garlic fries except us doggies.

Whew! It was a bit warm but the wind kept it cool... I like going to ballgames!

Did you see the Space Shuttle Endevour???

Mommy got so excited that she couldn't help but post this here. She brought me out a couple days ago and we stood at the curbside just waiting. For what???

There's this thing called a space shuttle that flies in space. Space is this place that's really high up beyond the sky. I don't really understand it all but Mommy said that there's such thing as space food so i believe her. =)

Oooo Space Food.... can i try some?

I'm injured...=(

Well, I've been fortunate that Mommy is kiasu and been giving me glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM supplements since I was a puppy. I'm about 6.5 years old now...time flies eh? So I haven't limped at all for the last 4 years or so even after long walks, fun days out at the beach, etc.

But last friday morning I can't explain what happened. My left back leg just started hurting a lot after breakfast. I was a 3 legged dog for a while and the pain got worse. Mommy was shocked to see me look like that. She hoped it was a "numb" leg from sleeping on one side (cos I disappeared into the bedroom after breakfast) but sorry to say it wasn't. 

This is me barely standing on my left back leg.

So off to Arroyo Vets I went. Dr Megan was nice. She was as gentle as she could be and I got treats. Ok, so I looked sad and needed love. ;)  She had to test my knee joints and said my knees felt really loose. And cos Mommy said I might have hip dysplasia as well, i was off to get xrays. They were nice and didn't sedate me. 

My xrays came back showing that both my hips have the dysplasia (boo...) but the left hip is much worse than the right. The radiologist said my knees while are loose do not show any signs of arthritis. Yay! 

So this is me on Rimadyl that friday night. See my the-world-has-come-to-an-end expression? Mommy promptly started physio on me too. Massage! yay! Ouch...cramps....

I got sympathy points that weekend from Daddy too! Nom nom.... i want....

Please Daddy...grovel...i'm injured...u love me...nom nom...

Yay! I got to taste a bit of the organic peach! Yummmm.... (no seed/pit of course. Those are dangerous to us dogs).

Time to snooze on the couch and support Daddy in his endeavour to slay evil!

Once the sun started moving away I went to my favourite spot in the yard to snooze...

Mommy said something about maybe, just maybe, needing surgery on my hip. Sounds like what many of her patients in Singapore had to go through. *zzzzz* Time to catch up on my beauty sleep!

Carmel Beach!

What in tar-nations....!!! It is already August! Yikes! Well here's a late post (again).

It all started on the 7th of July. Mommy had told Daddy that she wanted to celebrate her barkday early by us having a fun doggy day out at Carmel Beach. She read that it was a nice beach...so that morning, I got wind of it! Yes! Let's go!

After a SUPER long car ride (it was supposed to be under 1.5 hrs but ended up 2 hours cos of holiday traffic. Boo...), we reached! Nice beach! Weather was kinda cold and foggy that day though. My humans weren't too excited about that. Not that it bothered me at all. =)

The sand was REALLY soft. Kinda reminded me of the sand in Sentosa, Singapore. I spent my time wandering off with daddy...

...only to run back to mommy...

...and do it all again!

Soon Daddy muttered something about water and the beach so back on the leash I went, cos I ain't too fantastic a swimmer... I gotta tell you that THE WATER IS COLD!!! Something about the Pacific Ocean? Phooey.

We met this nice man who told us about a great place to bathe me. What?!?!?!

Why would he know that? Well these are his dogs and his family is in the background. His dogs LOVE the beach and the sand. Can you tell? (breed name is unpronounceable!)



No time to waste! I'm off again to explore this extensive beach!

Plenty of surfer dudes, dudettes and kids. The cold water has no effect on them. They must be aliens.



Seriously. Did i tell you the water IS COLD?!?!?!

A quick retreat to dry sand and a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta doooo.



And he gets his human to be responsible for his doo. ;)

Daddy thought it was funny. Daddy told me he likes being buried in sand too. Mommy doesn't. Haha!

Well, it was the BEST beach day ever! I know there's more great beach days to come! yes yes! I like the beach!
